NBA TV Schedule in India: Jan 1-10

Here’s the schedule of NBA games on TV in India for the first 10 days of January. The matches are all on Sony SIX, except when mentioned NBA.com/India, as those can be seen live on NBA’s website.

Minnesota @ Denver

Two of the more exciting teams in the league. Last two times they faced each other, the Wolves won one and the Nuggets the other. Expect a fun, fast paced contest when they meet. Pekovic and Love give the Wolves a exciting frontcourt, one is a bruising big man and Love is a anomaly who gets 20-20 with ease. Speaking of anomalies, this should be worth watching for Ricky Rubio alone. The Nuggets are no pushover either, Ty Lawson is among the best point guards in the league after the trio of Paul-Williams-Rondo, and he leads a team which likes to run. All in all, an exciting matchup between two scrappy teams out West.

L.A. Lakers @ L.A. Clippers

Sure, the Clippers are the ‘home’ team here. Both teams call the Staples Center home but when its a Clipper night the difference is in the paint job and the fans, who are the season ticket holders of the Clippers. The Clippers’ 17 game streak has come an end, and they have lost their last two to the Nuggets and Warriors. The Lakers will be looking to capitalize on their momentum, having won six of their last eight games. This match is by far the best one on TV in the next 10 days. Blake Griffin was once asked if LA is big enough for him and Kobe. He replied, “I don’t know if it is big enough for Kobe alone.” These battles to mark their territory prove that they are the ones who belong in that backyard between the Lakers and Clippers, and are always worth a watch.

Oklahoma City @ Toronto

Expect a beatdown here. The Raptors don’t hold a candle to the Thunder. In normal circumstances that is. These days have been anything but normal for the Raptors as they have ‘taken a look in the mirror’ and decided to step it up. They just beat the Trailblazers, prompting them to remark that this is not the same team as it was. The Raptors have won eight of their last nine games, with the only loss coming against the San Antonio Spurs. The Thunder may be NBA finalists, but right now would be the best time the Raptors could pull off an upset. Not if Kevin Durant and Russel Westbrook have anything to say about it though.

Memphis @ Sacramento

Both teams have temperamental bigs. Not so temperamental as the internet most of us use and that’s relevant as this one is on NBA.com/India, not on TV. The Kings have won five of their last eight matches and are well placed to pull off an upset over the Grizzlies. Memphis is one of the best teams in the league when it comes to forcing turnovers and capitalizing on them. Expect them to eke out a victory here, barring good luck for the Kings.
