30 Nov, San Antonio @ Miami

Here’s a short preview with timings of these matches:

Minnesota Timberwolves vs Portland Trailblazers

24 Nov, 8:30 AM, Sony SIX

Damien Lillard

In a battle of Northwest division rivals, keep an eye out for rookie sensation Damien Lillard of the Blazers. Two days ago he was averaging 19.3 points, 6.4 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game. Those are outstanding numbers for a rookie. Mo Williams made the all star team with those numbers. Along with LaMarcus Aldridge, those two make for a formidable inside outside punch.

The Timberwolves have the potential to be one of the more exciting teams in the NBA. With the injury to Kevin Love, Brandon Roy and Ricky Rubio, that potential is as yet lying unfulfilled. Ironically their opponents, Portland ‘Frail’blazers are the most notoriously injured team in the NBA. Portland is where the NBA players’ knees go to die. The Trailblazers have JJ Barea, Nikola Pekovic and Ricky Rubio battling injuries. Roy could be out for another month. Look for the Blazers to win this one.

Portland Trailblazers vs Brooklyn Nets

26 Nov, 1:30 AM, Sony SIX

The Blazers once again. Consecutive games featuring the same team is good to help build a following for the team. They face the Brooklyn Nets, who are 6-2 and looking to establish themselves as a dominant presence in the Eastern Conference. The movement of Joe Johnson from the Hawks seems like a genius move on the part of the Nets. While he shot just 36% in the first four games of the season, his game has picked up since then as he has had more time to adjust. The Nets just beat the Celtics on a game that was shown on TV in India. Look for a good matchup between Lillard and Deron Williams. Expecting the Nets to win.

New Orleans Hornets vs LA Clippers

27 Nov, 7:00 AM, NBA.com/India

The LA Clippers are the most exciting team in the league, hands down. They are standing at 8-2. Blake Griffin, Chris Paul, DeAndre Jordan, Eric Bledsoe and Jamal Crawford are so fun to watch, it’s almost like a team assembled to suit a video game squad. They have beaten the Grizzlies and Lakers and the Spurs have fallen to them twice already. Expect them to make short work of the Hornets. Also the matchup between Anthony Davis and Blake Griffin will be something to look out for.

San Antonio Spurs vs Miami Heat

30 Nov, 6:30 AM, Sony SIX

Tim Duncan

This is the best game of the lineup of the next ten days. Both teams stand at 8-3. Both have come out of the gate strong and are championship contenders in the league. This may actually be a preview of the NBA Finals. Watching Tim Duncan defy age and stick it to the youngsters never gets old. And watching James, Wade, Bosh and Allen step up to the challenge is even more exciting. Expect a close contest here.
