"2 in a row”- Jimmy Butler hyped for Carlos Alcaraz’s emphatic Wimbledon title defense against Novak Djokovic
Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler was seen hyping up Carlos Alcaraz during the tennis star's 2024 Wimbledon final against Novak Djokovic. The six-time NBA All-Star posted a video on his Instagram story showing his support for the young magician.
In the video, Butler showed two fingers in the air and said:
"Two in a row. Carlitos Alcarazz."
Carlos Alcaraz won his second back-to-back Wimbledon title. This is also the second time in a row that he has defeated Djokovic in the Wimbledon final. The world number 3 has already won four grand slams at just 21 years of age. Apart from two Wilmbledon's, he has won a US Open and a French Open.
Earlier in June, when Alcaraz won his first French Open, Butler wasn't happy that he wasn't there in attendance. This time, although Butler might not have shown up, he was certainly showing support for his friend from home.

The relationship between Jimmy Butler and Carlos Alcaraz is more than just bringing a fan of each other's game. Last year, Alcaraz won his first-ever Wimbledon. However, before the final matchup against Novak Djokovic, the Spanish player played Holger Rune in the quarterfinals.
Before Alcaraz started his quarterfinal game, he had a big supporter cheering him from the stands and it was Butler. The NBA star had particularly shown up for the young tennis sensation.
Alcaraz told Marca that their friendship picked up after Butler's last visit at his game in Wimbledon.
"He was visiting Buenos Aires on vacation and said he wanted to watch my final. He's a tennis nut and good friends with Zverev, Emma Raducanu, and Coco Gauff. Follows tennis. I was really surprised that Jimmy wanted to come see one of my games, I was in shock. We picked up a good friendship from there," Alcaraz said.
The tennis sensation also mentioned that he likes to watch Jimmy Butler play and both Butler and Alcaraz stay in touch.
As for Jimmy Butler, he has been making headlines due to his high-profile friendships. This offseason, he was spotted hanging out with Neymar Jr. and playing poker with Ryan Garcia.
