$3.5 billion worth Michael Jordan splashes $2.2 million on one-of-one supercar to upgrade his already impressive high-end garage
Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan just added another supercar to his collection. In August, Jordan bought a Pininfarina Battista Targamerica, an Italian sports car worth $2.2 million, per SarayaBay.com. MJ is the only person in the world with such a car as Pininfarina made only one Battista Targamerica.
When it was announced in August, Pininfarina shared that the one-off vehicle was bought by a "renowned car collector and existing Battista owner." It was custom-made for the former NBA star as it can fit a 6-foot-6 person. It also features a cigar holder, which is a hint at Jordan's interest in cigars.
The hypercar was delivered to MJ, who has a net worth of $3.5 billion per Forbes, early in October. CEO of Automobili Pininfarina, Paolo Dellachà, shared a photo on the social media platform with him, Jordan and the car.
"Today, we celebrate a truly special moment—the delivery of a bespoke, coach-built Battista, crafted in Italy with passion for a dear friend," Dellachà posted. "This one-off masterpiece embodies the pinnacle of design and engineering excellence, the result of a remarkable journey shared together. We are grateful to have brought this unique vision to life."
According to SayaraBay.com, the car features "four independent electric motors paired with a 120 kWh lithium-ion battery." The battery's power gives it a 1,900 horsepower and 2,340 Nm of torque.
The interior boasts tan leather seats and a black dashboard. The features that were included in the car present the car owner's traits.
The Pininfarina Battista Targamerica is another addition to Jordan's already impressive car collection. Per Exclusive Car Registry, MJ's collection includes several Ferraris, a couple of Porsche 911s, and a Hennessey Venom F5, which costs $3.5 million, per the New York Post.

Michael Jordan's rare supercar was posted for sale
At the beginning of September, a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 Edition from 2007, which Michael Jordan once owned, was posted for sale. The supercar was initially listed at $480,000. Mercedez-Benz produced only 150 units of the supercar, making it one of the rareest vehicles in the world.
According to The U.S. Sun, the car has been posted for $650,000. They also shared that a Miami-based car dealership, TBTFW, posted the listing.
The car has a Crystal Antimon Grey Metallic finish and also features Ankry wheels. The interior also pays homage to Jordan's days with the Bulls with black leather and red contrast stitching.
Unfortunately, there isn't any confirmation when the six-time champion had the car.
