36-year-old Kevin Durant makes 'damning' admission after viral Bronny James foul
Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant played for the first time against LeBron James' firstborn, Bronny, during the LA Lakers' 128-122 overtime win over the Suns on Thursday.
Following the game, Durant's block attempt over Bronny went viral, with the player making an admission about his age.
After an Instagram user @the_footdoctor noted how surreal it was to see the veteran blocking a shot from LeBron's son, the player had a three-word response mocking his age.
"damn im old," he commented.
To put things into perspective, when the Suns star was selected as the No. 2 overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft by the Seattle SuperSonics, Bronny James was only three. It's been 17 years since that moment and they're competing at the highest level, which is a testament to Durant's longevity.
Dalton Knecht and Anthony Davis stole the show for the Lakers, scoring 35 points apiece while Bronny added four points on 2-of-4 from the field. KD was the second-best scorer of his Suns with 19 points, three fewer than Devin Booker.
The Suns are 3-2 after Thursday's loss to the Lakers, finishing their preseason with a positive record. As for the Lakers, they improved to 2-3 and will try to close out the preseason with another win against the Golden State Warriors.
Kevin Durant offers piece of advice to NFL star after trade to New York
Kevin Durant is an avid football fan whose passion for the Washington Commanders has always been notable. More than that, he's paying attention to all the moves in the NFL, including Davante Adams' trade to the New York Jets.
The two-time NBA champion, who played with the Brooklyn Nets from 2019 through 2023, explained how Adams can settle into the city on Thursday's edition of Kay Adams' "Up & Adams" show.
"Once you play in New York, you realize that it's not as scary as you think," he said. "Once you in it, people just like anywhere else. You're gonna get criticized if you don't play well, and they gonna love you when you win. So, just win. And if you come to play, people appreciate the work that you put in on the field.
"And I know Davante is one of those workers who's gonna come to work, do his job. So, I think he gonna get a lot of love there. If they win football games, he's just gonna, you know, it's gonna be bigger than what it was in Vegas."
Durant is trying to win another championship with the Suns and this season could present a major opportunity to do so.
