50 Cent calls out Ja Rule for Minnesota Timberwolves ‘Curse’: “I got a whole ritual planned”
Hip-hop artist 50 Cent is attempting to change the fate of a Western Conference playoff team. He recently went on a social media rant about how he plans to change the fortune of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
50 Cent feels the Timberwolves have been cursed since fellow recording artist Ja Rule had a terrible halftime performance. The Milwaukee Bucks brought him in to perform, but it did not go how they might have hoped.
Following this performance, the New York rapper wants to change things for the T-Wolves. In his social media rant, he touched on how he has a ritual planned to change things for Minnesota.
"We're gonna get rid of the Timberwolves curse. I got a whole ritual planned to break the curse."
Can 50 Cent turned things around for the Minnesota Timberwolves?
50 Cent is picking a good time to break the alleged curse of the Minnesota Timberwolves. With the regular season coming to a close, they are gearing up to make a run in the postseason.
As we come down the final stretch of the regular season, Minnesota is right in the middle of the air-tight Western Conference standings. They currently sit in seventh place with a record of 39-38. However, there is a good chance their fate could change.
The Timberwolves are only one game behind the Golden State Warriors for sixth place. Moving one spot ahead would mean not having to compete in the play-in tournament. Looking lower, the New Orleans Pelicans, LA Lakers and OKC Thunder are all within one game of them.
Injuries derailed the regular season for Minnesota, but they've gotten healthy at the right time. Karl-Anthony Towns missed a majority of the year, but has recently rejoined his team on the court.
Since teams haven't seen them at full strength for some time, the Timberwolves have a chance to surprise teams in the playoffs. Not only do they have their dual big lineup of Towns and Rudy Gobert, but Anthony Edwards continues to elevate his game. On top of that, the team added Mike Conley at the trade deadline to bring in more experience.
Depending on how superstious Minnesota is, this performance could be a nice jolt for them before the playoffs. Only time will tell of its effects.
