76ers forward brands his duo with Paul George with signature name: "Let’s rock out brother"

Philadelphia 76ers forward Kelly Oubre Jr. shared his excitement about teaming up with Paul George next season. Oubre posted a photo of himself with his new All-Star teammate who recently signed a maximum deal with the Sixers. The team acquired George after they agreed on a four-year, $212 million contract this offseason.

Philly is hopeful that with their new acquisition, they'd get to contend for a title during the 2024-25 NBA season. Over the past seasons, the Sixers haven't been lucky in their quest to contend. Injuries to their stars and constant early exit in the postseason have been their major issue.

For the next season, they'll face the challenges with a new Big 3. Together with George, All-Stars Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey have ample help to get them over the hump in the Eastern Conference. Other than the stars and the fans, Oubre is thrilled to share the court with the nine-time All-Star, which marks their first team-up.

"YGBully X K9. Let’s rock out brother," Oubre posted on his Instagram.

George and Oubre are expected to be in the starting lineup next season for the Sixers. They provide scoring, athleticism and length on the defensive end.

Oubre is coming off a great year as a starter for the team. He played 68 games last season, including 52 starts. During that span, he averaged 15.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists for Philly.

Paul George's former teammate reveals how he handles criticism

Each player has their way of handling criticism, which makes them unique. Former LA Clippers teammate Paul George, Patrick Beverley, shared on his podcast "Pat Bev Pod" about how he communicates with the players he's played with.

Firstly, Beverley showed how he used to communicate with former NBA guard Lou Williams.

"Me and Lou will: 'Hey where the f**k you at today, man? I need you out there!" Alright cool," Beverley said.

The defensive guard shared his approach with George.

"Now, I go to PG, imma have to— 'Ay P, you missed man, but that sh*t look good! It was in and out!' Feel me? My approach was different."

George has been a subject of criticism in his career. The star forward has shown struggles in certain situations, which have earned him the nickname from the fans "Pandemic P." During the COVID-19 pandemic, the four-time All-Defensive star didn't have the best shooting efficiency, especially in the postseason, shooting only 39.8% of his field goals.

But over the past seasons, he's shown that he's a reliable player on both ends.
