Actor Jamie Foxx drops 2-word reaction to LeBron James' Hollywood comparison after historic father-son moment
On Tuesday, LeBron James made NBA history alongside his son, Bronny James, as the two became the first father-son duo to ever grace the hardwood together. The moment had been a long time in the making and drew the reactions of some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including Jamie Foxx.
Foxx, who has been friends with LeBron James for several years now, reacted to a social media post from the four-time NBA champ. Following Tuesday night's season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves, where the two played a shift together in the second quarter, James took to Instagram the following morning with a series of pictures.
From the father-son duo arriving at Crypto.com Arena to warmups and, of course, their stint on the court together, James' post captured the magnitude of the situation. In the comments section, Jamie Foxx posted:
"Incredible moment"
In the caption of the original post, LeBron James wrote:
"Hollywood couldn’t write a better script so we helped them write it and brought it to them. HISTORY WAS MADE!"
The post was one of two that James made following Tuesday's 110-103 win over the Timberwolves, with the future Hall of Famer sharing a video of the father-son duo while writing that he'll remember the moment for the rest of his life.
Looking back at the time LeBron James wished Jamie Foxx well following medical emergency last year
Last April, Jamie Foxx suffered a medical emergency that landed him in the hospital. As he explained this summer in an interview with ABC News, he asked his son for an Advil after experiencing a headache and then doesn't remember anything from the 20 days that followed.
While it's unclear whether he suffered a stroke or something else, Foxx did indicate that there was "something going on up there," leading many to suspect that the problem was neurological.
At the time, in April 2023, LeBron James wished Foxx well on social media, sending his thoughts and prayers to the Grammy-winning actor, singer and comedian via X, formerly known as Twitter:
"Sending my thoughts and prayers to the heavens above to my brother @iamjamiefoxx!!!! Get well and back to yourself SOONER THAN LATER! God willing."
Fortunately, Foxx has since bounced back, and according to IMDB, he is back to working on several projects set to release in the new year both as an actor and as a producer.
In the case of LeBron James, after Tuesday's season opener against the Timberwolves, the Lakers will be looking to keep the momentum rolling on Friday when they host Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns.
