Al Horford's sister Anna Horford rips into Donald Trump’s policies on food safety: "Dogs smarter than that man"
Throughout his long career in the NBA, Al Horford's sister, Anna Horford, never shied away from speaking her mind. She recently took a jab online at one of the candidates in the upcoming US Presidential election.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Anna sounded off on former President Donald Trump and his supporters. She bashed his policies regarding food regulation during his first term and came at his supporters for backing him.
Anna wrapped things up by making a rather caustic remark about the former, and possibly future, US President.
"Trump consistently did dumb sh*t like rolling back food regulations (we're seeing its impact now) & his supporters STILL have the audacity to say he's an intelligent man........ Bruh. Some of you clearly never read 'The Jungle' in HS.
"I know dogs smarter than that man."
The book Al Horford's sister is referring to was released back in 1904. It's primarily centered around government and business, as the author went undercover working in a factory in an attempt to discover corruption.
As for Al Horford himself, he is fresh off winning the first championship of his NBA career. At the age of 38, the former All-Star was a productive piece off the bench for the Boston Celtics. Despite being at the late stage of his career, the veteran big man decided to return next season for what will be his 18th year in the league.
Al Horford's sister also speaks out against Kamala Harris
Despite the harsh comments she made towards Donald Trump, Al Horford's sister appears to be impartial in the Presidential election. She also took to social media to voice some displeasure with the other candidate for the top office.
Following President Joe Biden's decision to withdraw from the 2024 election, Vice President Kamala Harris has been chosen to run in his place. Following a recent interview, Anna Horford shared her thoughts on Harris' stance towards one major global issue.
One of the main topics in global news this summer has been the ongoing war in the Middle East. While speaking on the issue, Vice President Harris stated that she has a continued belief that Israel has the right to defend itself. Upon hearing her remarks, Al Horford's sister did not shy away from disagreeing.
Anna re-posted a clip from the interview on X, claiming that the Democratic Party should know better. She also feels that this stance could hurt Harris' chances of getting young and Muslim voters to side with her come November.
Prior to her Presidential campaign, Harris has had a long career in politics. Her journey began back in 2011 when she was named the Attorney General in the state of California. After holding that position for six years, Harris went on to become a United States senator.
Two years into her time in the Senate, Joe Biden selected her to be his running mate in the 2020 election. Following his victory, she then took on the role of Vice President.
