"Another jersey for the Rolex" - Jalen Brunson offers to trade his jersey for luxury watch following a fan's viral video
Jalen Brunson offered to trade his jersey for a luxury Rolex watch in a post on X (formerly Twitter). His offer came after a fan's video went viral showing a groom who was overjoyed to receive a signed Jalen Brunson jersey as a wedding gift.
The person who posted the video accompanied a caption, informing people that the groom seemed more thrilled to receive the jersey than with the Rolex watch his wife had purchased for him. The video reached Brunson on X, who responded by reposting it with his trade offer.
"I’ll give you another jersey for the Rolex lol," Brunson said in the caption of his repost.
The groom from the video responded to Brunson's tweet by posting a picture in the comments section. In the photo, he was seen wearing the Knicks jersey and the Rolex watch. He included a caption bearing his response to the Knicks star's offer.
"Coming with it to the @Roommates__Show pod today. It’s yours."
Jalen Brunson had a great season with the New York Knicks where He led his team to the Eastern Conference semi-final finish despite missing a key player like Julius Randle.
What's next for Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks?
Jalen Brunson was incredible last season, averaging 28.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 6.7 assists. He carried the New York Knicks to a deep playoff run without the franchise's star player Julius Randle, who was sidelined early last season after he suffered a shoulder injury and had to undergo a season-ending surgery to fix it.
The Knicks were still a decent team without Randle but it was hard to imagine them finishing as the Eastern Conference semi-finalists without him. However, Brunson took charge and, with the help of his teammates Josh Hart and Donte DiVincenzo, led his team past the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round. The Knicks also gave the Indiana Pacers a tough challenge in the semi-finals.
Now, with Randle set to return to the court sometime in the 2024-25 season, the Knicks are in a good position. If Brunson and the squad can maintain the same form as last season and give Randle more time to rest and get back on the court in his best form, the fans can expect the Knicks to be a championship-caliber team.
Jalen Brunson and the Knicks will be back on the hard court in late October taking on the reigning NBA champions Boston Celtics in both teams' first game of the season.
