Anthony Edwards' girlfriend Jeanine Robel shares a fangirl moment as she grabs picture with Alex Rodriguez
Anthony Edwards' girlfriend Jeanine Robel has been in France to support the Minnesota Timberwolves star who is part of Team USA in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Robel had a fangirl moment with Timberwolves part-owner and MLB legend Alex Rodriguez.
In a post on Instagram stories, Robel shared a selfie with the former Texas Rangers and New York Yankees legend. The two were on the sidelines as Team USA triumphed over Brazil in the quarterfinals. They face Nikola Jokic and Serbia in the semifinal on Thursday.
Robel tagged Rodriguez in her post along with his girlfriend Jaclyn Cordeiro, who has been dating the former baseball player since 2022. Corderio is a social media personality specializing in fitness and health.
Jeanine Robel, who shares a daughter with Anthony Edwards, named Aislynn, has been very supportive of her man in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Robel has been present in every game, sharing some of his in-game highlights on her social media accounts.
Meanwhile, Alex Rodriguez is there to cheer some of the Minnesota Timberwolves players in the Olympics. There are four players representing the Timberwolves – Edwards (USA), Rudy Gobert (France), Nickeil Alexander-Walker (Canada) and Joe Ingles (Australia).
Edwards has been one of the most important players for Team USA in this tournament. They are just two wins away from taking home a gold medal for the fifth straight Olympics. If they get past Serbia in the semis, Germany or France will await in the final.
Germany is the reigning FIBA World Cup Champions and the only other undefeated team in the tournament along with the United States. They beat Greece in a come-from-behind win in the quarterfinals.
France, meanwhile, is the host country and is the reigning silver medalist from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Victor Wembanyama led them to a win over Canada, one of the tournament favorites, in the quarterfinals.
Anthony Edwards glad to play alongside the greats for Team USA
Speaking to reporters before the quarterfinals, Anthony Edwards is cherishing his first Olympic tournament. He's happy to be playing with some of the greatest players in NBA history like LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Steph Curry.
"I'm playing alongside the greatest players of all time. And I'm able to go see ping pong. ... It's the knockout rounds. All the teams in it are really good teams. They've got NBA players and compete at a high level. It’s supposed to be hard," Edwards said.
Edwards turned 23 on Monday, and Team USA held a surprise birthday party for the Timberwolves star.
