Anthony Edwards' rapper brother namedrops Charles Barkley with cryptic lyric in latest song
Anthony Edwards' rapper brother Bubba Edwards recently released his latest song, 'Can’t Go Back'. The aspiring singer brother of the Minnesota Timberwolves star name-dropped NBA legend Charles Barkley in the rap song.
In a video that Edwards' elder brother posted on his Instagram account, he gives a peek into the making of the song. In one of the verses, he is heard rapping that mentions the NBA legend.
"I guarantee it Charles Barkley just watch how I come!!"
It is still not clear what message Bubba wants to send to Barkley through the song or the intent behind the lyrics. There has never been any tension between Barkley and Edwards either. Barkley has always spoken highly about Anthony Edwards and his potential to become one of the best-ever in the league.
Bubba is one of the two elder brothers of Edwards. Moreover, Bubba Edwards is perhaps the biggest reason that Ant-Man is in the NBA. The Timberwolves star was inspired by his rapper brother to play basketball.

Bubba Edwards is the reason that Anthony Edwards is playing basketball at the highest level. The Minnesota Timberwolves star showed no interest in basketball until he saw his brother playing. Ant just wanted to follow his brother, eventually landing him a place in the NBA.
While Edwards is earning millions, he has never forgotten where he comes from. Most importantly, since arriving in the NBA, Edwards has kept his family closer than ever.
According to People, Edwards calls his brother regularly and keeps him inspired for the next song. Bubba said that his younger brother has been very supportive of him.
“He’s on my head all the time about sending new songs, you know, because he like to get hyped before the game,” the rapper said of Edwards. “So, he pressures me on sending new songs and stuff like that. So, he’s super supportive.”
Given where Anthony Edwards has himself reached, Bubba gets more opportunities to perform. Earlier this year, he performed in the Timberwolves arena during the playoffs series against the Denver Nuggets.
