Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards is reportedly in line to be under the spotlight for an upcoming Netflix docu-series focused on NBA players. The young guard has gotten bigger and bigger in the league thanks to his playstyle and confidence.

After leading the Timberwolves to the Western Conference finals this season, the former No. 1 overall pick is getting a major role on a Netflix show similar to the outstanding NFL series called 'Quarterback,' renamed 'Receiver' for the second season, as per insider Shams Charania.

"Edwards is expected to be the breakaway act of Netflix’s first NBA documentary series that includes LeBron James, Jayson Tatum, Jimmy Butler and Domantas Sabonis. The show is modeled after Netflix’s NFL “Quarterback” series," Shams Charania reported, via Legion Hoops on X.

Legion hoops also said that Edwards will be a "major star" in the series.

Besides Edwards, LeBron James, one-time NBA champJayson Tatum, Jimmy Butler and Domantas Sabonis will be featured in the series, too.

The first season of the NFL series featured three quarterbacks, Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins and Marcus Mariota showing details of their life and the challenges they face to become Super Bowl champions, make their teams competitive and even secure a new deal in the league.

Seeing the combination of youth and experience in the NBA series' lineup, this seems like an intriguing project.
