La La Anthony is not the only parent impressed with her son's play. When asked about his son's development, Carmelo Anthony had nothing but great things to say about Kiyan.

The longtime NBA star was asked about his son on his "7 pm in Brooklyn" podcast. He jokingly said he's not done with him yet, but is extremely proud of the work being put in.

"As a father, I'm proud. I love it," Carmelo said. "I'm there with you every step of the way, win or loss. We about developing, this is another step in your development. This is what I told you what would happen."

Carmelo and Kiyan share a close bond as father and son. In fact, the former New York Knicks forward gave his child a shoutout when he announced his retirement from the NBA.

A little over a year ago, Carmelo announced the end of his playing career with a video on social media. During the clip, he spoke about his legacy and what's next. Carmelo used this video as a chance to tell the world that he was passing the torch to his son.

Carmelo was fortunate enough to enjoy an NBA career that spanned nearly two decades. With the potential he's showing now, Kiyan has a good chance to follow in his father's shoes.
