Atlanta Hawks vs Phoenix Suns Game Player Stats and Box Scores for March 21, 2024 

The Atlanta Hawks traveled West to square off against the Phoenix Suns on Thursday. Minus Trae Young and Jalen Johnson, the struggling Hawks will try to shut out the hosts in the season series. Dejounte Murray is expected to lead the visitors in the showdown.

Despite playing undermanned the Hawks were aggressive and ended the first 12 minutes with a 37-30 lead. Murray, unsurprisingly came out hot, leading the team with 16 points.

Kevin Durant, who was held scoreless in the first quarter, bounced back in the second frame with 11 points. He took over from Devin Booker, who scored all of his 13 points in the first period. Durant and Royce O'Neale's production towed the home team to a 65-60 halftime lead.

The Phoenix Suns tried to pull away a few times from the Atlanta Hawks in the third quarter but the visitors remained stubborn. Devin Booker had eight points while Eric Gordon added six to keep the Suns ahead 96-93 with the fourth quarter underway.

Dejounte Murray, after getting held scoreless in the second period, had eight points. The point guard flirted with a triple double in the third frame.

Murray, De'Andre Hunter and the Atlanta Hawks kept it a seesaw battle for nearly the entire quarter. The Phoenix Suns just had a little more firepower, particularly the bench led by Eric Gordon and Royce O'Neale. Frank Vogel's backups came up big with some timely baskets and defensive stops to help Booker tow the hosts to the win.

Kevin Durant had an off-shooting night but his teammates took up the slack. The Suns eventually earned a hard-fought 128-115 victory over the scrappy and resilient visitors.

Dejounte Murray, Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal and Devin Booker's 3-pointers tonight

Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal combined for 6-of-11 from rainbow distance in the first half tonight.

Dejounte Murray made 2-of-6 attempts from deep during the same stretch versus the Phoenix Suns.

KD and "Big Panda" combined to shoot 4-for-12 3-pointers for the entire game. Devin Booker was the most efficient out of the Suns' Big Three, hitting 5-for-7 of his attempts from behind the arc.

Dejoutne Murray's gallant fight to carry the Hawks took a hit due to his misfiring from long range. He made only three of his 10 attempts.
