Bam Adebayo drops 1-word reaction for A’ja Wilson after WNBA record breaking night
This season, A'ja Wilson has been nothing short of dominant for the Las Vegas Aces, and she has gained a big supporter in Bam Adebayo.
In a few short weeks, Adebayo will kick off his eighth season for the Miami Heat. Before the real work begins for him, the All-Star center weighed in on one of the biggest topics in the WNBA.
On Wednesday night, Wilson added a historic feat to what is already a strong case for MVP. With 27 points against the Indiana Fever, Wilson set a new single-season record for points.
Following this accomplishment, Bam Adebayo took to social media to give his take on Wilson. He made a one-word post on X, stating that the Aces center should be the unanimous MVP.
As the regular season comes to a close, Wilson is putting up dominant averages of 27.3 points, 11.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists. As for the Aces, they sit in fourth place in the standings with a 23-13 record.
Earlier this summer, Wilson took home the MVP in the Summer Olympics with Team USA. Having already won the award twice in the WNBA, she is the frontrunner to take home the hardware for a third time.
Bam Adebayo and A'ja Wilson have been supporting each other since the 2024 Olympics
Bam Adebayo was one of the many NBA and WNBA players who competed at the Paris Olympics this summer. Since they've returned from the Summer Games, the two All-Stars have been closely connected.
A few weeks ago, Adebayo was gifted a key to the city of Miami. Among those in attendance for the ceremony was the Las Vegas Aces star. Wilson was even put on the spot by a city official for being there for Abedayo.
Adebayo received a key to the city after becoming a pillar for the Heat franchise. Since being drafted fourth overall, he has developed into one of the most versatile big men in the NBA.
The 27-year-old has made his living in the league with his elite-level defense. He has made an All-Defense team in each of the last five seasons and found himself on the First Team in 2024. The three-time All-Star has also grown as a scorer, averaging at least 19 points per game since 2022.
Following a season that saw them eliminated in the first round, Adebayo and Jimmy Butler will look to get the Heat back in the title hunt in 2025.
