Bam Adebayo reveals one precious possession he 'can't sleep without' that made him shed tears: "Lost it one time and cried"
Ahead of the Olympic finals game against France, Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo sat down with GQ Sports to reveal the 10 most essential items in his bag. Among the things he always carries are his Tokyo Olympics gold medal, a book, his North Carolina chain and other personal belongings. To add, the center shared that one of his most treasured possessions is a black durag:
“This is my durag. For those people who know, a lot of African American men wear this so they have waves. ... It's kind of like a man's bonnet. I've been wearing it so long that I can't go to sleep without it at this point.
“I've lost it one time and cried 'cause this is like my favorite durag. I probably might have 20 different durags, you know, different designs, different colorways. But this is just my favorite one cause I feel like it has a different feel than all the other ones, so this is my favorite one.” (Time stamp: 07:11)
During the session, Adebayo also mentioned that the Tokyo Olympics gold medal he carries with him isn't the original and he keeps the real one in his safe.

“He is more down to earth than people think," Adebayo said. "You know, he is been in the limelight for forever at this point since he was what 15? So, you know, being around him, just understand that he’s really down to earth and he actually tells like corny dad jokes." [H/T USAToday]
