"Be like that sometimes"- A'ja Wilson sympathizes with Kyle Kuzma ditching flashy outfits
Kyle Kuzma surprised fans when he entered TD Garden for the Washington Wizards’ game against the Boston Celtics on Thursday in a simple sweatsuit instead of his usual stylish outfit. Vogue reported on Friday that the former LA Lakers forward would “retire" his attention-grabbing "tunnel fits."
Reigning and three-time WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson reacted and shared the report on Instagram.
She had this to say about Kuzma’s move in her IG story:

Kuzma gave the reason why he isn’t doing pregame fashion walks in a chat with Vogue:
“I don’t want to be a part of that type of community where you have to put on a fit. A lot of times we get played into thinking, ‘Oh, we gotta switch it up, we gotta buy something new.’ And now we’re just buying clothes to impress people or to stand out. It’s ludicrous.”
Kuzma’s fashion game shot to national media consciousness in 2021 when he showed up before a game with an oversized sweater. The sweater’s arms, designed to be extremely long, reached his knees. Former and current NBA players trolled him for daring to pull off that look.
LeBron James said he wouldn’t press the “like button” because the outfit was “outrageous.”
Kuzma’s pregame entrances interested many after that eye-opening outfit. Over the years, he has built a reputation as one of the best-dressed NBA players.

“Run It Back” hosts Lou Williams and Chandler Parsons, former NBA players, took a shot at Kyle Kuzma’s off-court game. After an image of Kuzma’s pink sweater outfit came up, Williams said that he “didn’t see anybody else” wear it. Parsons jumped in with his comment:
“He set a trend to not wear that again.”
The Washington Wizards star pushed back against the trolling with a since-deleted post on X, formerly Twitter. He told Williams and Chandler to “Hop of my d**k, please!”
After fiercely defending his tunnel outfits, Kuzma’s decision to wear sweatsuits was a surprise that A’ja Wilson reacted to.
