Beyonce's mom drops 3-word reaction to Carmelo Anthony's ex La La's wholesome tribute after son's dazzling MVP win
Looking ahead to the future, Carmelo Anthony looks like he could be the next former NBA player to have a kid reach the pros. La La Anthony continues to be one of her son's biggest supporters and recently had an interaction with a notable celebrity's mother online.
As Kiyan Anthony finishes his senior year at Long Island Lutheran, La La regularly posts about him and his achievements. Her latest upload was about her son taking home MVP honors in the Hoophall Classic.
La La's post garnered a lot of attention, racking up over 30,000 likes on Instagram. The comment section was also flooded with people sending congratulatory messages to Kiyan. Among those to react to this achievement was Beyonce's mom, Tina Knowles.
Kiyan is one of the top prospects in his graduating class, sitting at No. 36 in ESPN's top 100 for the class of 2025. He is also ranked as the eighth-best prospect at his position, and the top overall recruit in the state of New York.
Despite being pursued by multiple schools, Kiyan plans to follow in his father's footsteps in the next chapter of his journey. While appearing on Carmelo Anthony's "7PM in Brooklyn" podcast, he told the world he'd be attending Syracuse for college.

As expected, Carmelo Anthony has been a proud father watching Kiyan make a name for himself in the basketball world. Now that his days in the NBA have come to an end, he can be even more involved in his son's development.
Carmelo was in attendance to see Kiyan show out in the Hoophall classic and loved what he saw. Clips have surfaced online of the former New York Knicks star reacting to his son knocking down a shot from beyond the arc.
After playing for the LA Lakers in 2022, Carmelo Anthony announced his retirement from the NBA. A big reason why he walked away was because of Kiyan. In the video he posted online to tell the world, Carmelo spoke a lot about it being time to pass the torch.
If Kiyan can continue to develop his game, there is a very strong chance he'll get a shot to showcase his talents in the pros. The earliest he could enter the draft is 2026, following his freshman campaign at Syracuse.
Kiyan is the only child of Carmelo and La La Anthony, who officially tied the knot back in the summer of 2010. The couple stayed married for a little over a decade before filing for divorce in 2021.
