'Black-ish' star reveals why dating Shaquille O'Neal's ex-girlfriends is a bad idea

Shaquille O'Neal is well regarded as one of the greatest basketball players to ever play in the NBA. Aside from basketball, the 'Big Diesel' was also known for having multiple relationships in the past.

During an interview on the 'Club Shay Shay' podcast, a star from the sitcom 'Black-ish', Deon Cole advised people not to think about dating any of O'Neal's former lovers.

The American comedian talked about his experience with one of the Lakers legend's past lovers, which had former NFL tight end Shannon Sharpe laughing. Cole revealed that his sensual interaction with the individual did not go so well as she already had a standard set in mind.

"Don't ever f**k after Shaq," Cole said. "That's the point. ... I didn't know at the time she told me later. After I got up, I was like, 'Man that was real hollow. That was real hollow. How was that so hollow?' ... I was just like, 'Who did you used to deal with and she told me and I was like, 'Get the f**k out of here'. She should tell everybody before."

He argued that she should have told him about her experience with Shaquille O'Neal in the first place so he would have known what he was getting himself into.

Shaquille O'Neal reacted to ex-wife's comments about not being in love with the NBA legend

O'Neal was previously married to Shaunie Henderson for eight years before their divorce became final on March 11, 2010. The couple originally met one another in July 1996, when the former NBA big man took his talents to the Lakers, as per PEOPLE's Lynsey Eidell.

Years after their divorce, Henderson looked back on their relationship together and questioned if she actually loved Shaquille O'Neal in the first place. She revealed her stance on the matter in her published book, 'Undefeated: Changing The Rules and Winning on My Own Terms'.

"Looking back, I don't know that I was ever really in love with the man," Henderson wrote. "But I was in love with the idea of being married to the man I had a family with. I was in love with the idea of building a life together. I truly did enjoy spending time with him."

Despite her conflicting feelings about her marriage to O'Neal, she acknowledged the enjoyment she got in experiencing the NBA life that many dream of being in.

"[NBA] road trips gave me a chance to be with my husband and experience the NBA life for a little while."

Following her ex-wife's comments, Shaquille O'Neal posted his reaction on his Instagram handle.

"I understand," O'Neal posted. "... I wouldn't have been in love with me either. Wishing you all the best. ... All love, Shaq."

Shaq didn't add more to what he posted nor did he choose to argue with his ex-wife. Instead, he chose to respect her feelings and even backed it up with how he felt about himself.
