Damian Lillard says he will give away the $500K he won as an NBA Cup champion

Before the NBA Cup championship game, the ESPN crew asked Damian Lillard about his plans for the prize money and the Bucks star had philanthropic ideas.

"I have been doing this a long time. So when I get it, I ain't just gonna blow it or go crazy. I'll probably go to the support staff, our training staff, the people that come in every day, all-day, when we get to go home. I'll try to do something to support them," Lillard said.

The NBA Cup also known as the In-Season Tournament has a prize money of $500K per player for the Tournament champions. So now that the Bucks have become the champions, the support and training staff can look forward to the gifts from Dame.

The Milwaukee Bucks had a terrible start to the season. They went 2-8 in their first 10 games and were a nightmare during the transition. However, they have turned the tides in their favor and are having a great run.

Dame and Antetokounmpo have found the long-needed synergy. They are the highest-scoring duo this season with 58.4 combined points per game. The Bucks have a 14-11 record and are the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference standings.
