Boston Celtics vs Dallas Mavericks Injury Reports for Game 3 on June 12 | 2024 NBA Finals

The 2024 NBA Finals moves to American Airlines Center as the Dallas Mavericks hope to bounce back from a 2-0 deficit against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday. It has been a nightmare run for the hosts of Games 3 and 4 in the first two games where Boston outclassed them on both ends of the floor.

Barring Luka Doncic who has been playing with injuries, the rest of the Mavericks had no answer to the Celtics' well-rounded play across the opening two games. The upcoming clash gives Dallas homecourt advantage, and they will be eager to get past a C's unit that will likely be without their star center, Kristaps Porzingis.

The health of the rest of the rosters has not been an issue for both teams. The Mavs have Luka Doncic on their report, while Porzingis' injury continues to be dissected by analysts and fans on social media.

The biggest talking point has been Kristaps Porzingis' availability. The center has been a vital cog for Boston in their NBA Finals run, and his rare injury — a left posterior tibialis dislocation – renders him questionable ahead of the marquee matchup in Dallas. Porzingis missed 10 games in a row before playing in the first two games of the finals. He got injured again in the last game.

The center looked in pristine condition in Game 1, notching up 20 points, six rebounds and three blocks in 21 minutes of action. He followed it up with 12 points, four rebounds, one assist and two blocks in the second.

The Dallas Mavericks will breathe a sigh of relief as star guard and WCF MVP Luka Doncic has been upgraded to probable ahead of Game 3. The Slovenian was listed with a thoracic contusion injury. Earlier, a right knee sprain and left ankle soreness were part of the list as the banged-up star still played for the Mavs in both games.

Reports said that Doncic had received pain-killer shots ahead of Game 2 at TD Garden and will likely receive another before Wednesday's contest. Doncic battled his injuries to score a stellar 32 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists and four steals in Game 2, but it wasn't enough as Dallas' offense sputtered for the second game against the Celtics' defense.
