"Bro didn’t even play like this for us"- NBA fans mesmerized by Patrick Beverley who fulfills his promise of stopping the LA Lakers playoff push
The LA Lakers took another step back in the west as Patrick Beverley and the Chicago Bulls beat the purple and gold on Sunday night. The Lakers were down by eight late in the 4th quarter when Beverley put the nail in the coffin with a floater over LeBron James. With 1:16 remaining in the quarter, Pat Bev attacked the basket and went for a turnaround floater over James for the game-winning basket.
In classic Patrick Beverley fashion, he proceeded to taunt his former teammate. Crypto Arena reacted with loud boos as Beverley showed nothing but disrespect to his former team. The Lakers lost to the Bulls 118-108 and now have a 37-38 record.
Before playing in LA on Sunday, Pat Bev made it clear on his podcast that his new goal was to knock the Lakers out of the playoffs. It appears he's one step closer to fulfilling his promise. LA Lakers fans on social media couldn't help but joke about Beverley despite taking a loss from his team.
