"Bro playing like Jesus Christ during the flood” – Fans troll Hassan Whiteside for putting MVP stats in Puerto Rican league
Like Dwight Howard, Hassan Whiteside has found success outside of the NBA and has shown that he can still make a huge impact on any team. Fans shared their reactions after seeing Whiteside post 43 points and 19 rebounds for the Piratas de Quebradillas, a team in Puerto Rico.
Whiteside has taken his talents elsewhere as he waits for an NBA team to offer him a contract. It's a smart move on his part, as it will keep him in shape and on the radar of most NBA teams. The veteran center signed with Piratas de Quebradilla earlier this month and has made some noise as an impact player.
He wasn't the only former NBA player signed to play for the league. Brandon Knight was also given a chance by the Baloncesto Superior Nacional to play for their league.
In Whiteside's most recent performance as the center of the squad, he posted monster numbers for the team. He even played so well that he shot 57% of his field goals.
After the performance, fans quickly shared their reactions on Twitter. We've collected some of the best reactions, and here are some of them.
Whiteside last played for the Utah Jazz as a backup center for Rudy Gobert last season. He averaged 8.2 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks and shot 65.2% from the field.

Which teams could benefit from signing Hassan Whiteside?
Hassan Whiteside is a well-experienced center who is capable of boosting the interior defense of any team. After all, that's how he was able to make a name for himself when he played for the Miami Heat back in the 2014-15 season.
Now, let's take a look at some of the teams that would benefit from signing the defensive-minded big man.
Sacramento Kings
With the playoffs just around the corner, teams are looking to improve their depth. The Sacramento Kings are one of the worst teams defensively. Which is why signing Whiteside will improve their chances as they hold their own in their postseason return.
LA Lakers
The LA Lakers are currently dealing with an injury to their backup big man, Mo Bamba. With that said, they'll need to have someone willing to fight for the glass and defend the paint. Adding Whiteside to the mix wouldn't be such a bad idea.
Dallas Mavericks
The Dallas Mavericks have been terrible since trading for Kyrie Irving. Defensively, they haven't been able to hold their own. This is why adding someone like Whiteside could get them back on the right track.
