"Bronny is better than His daddy": Fans react to LeBron James posting worse plus/minus than Gabe Vincent

LeBron James is about to turn 40. Even so, he's still averaging 23.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 9.1 assists per game and putting up triple-doubles for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Nevertheless, some NBA fans have been less than impressed with his numbers, and they believe there's more than what meets the eye.

Following the Lakers' loss to the Denver Nuggets, one fan took to X to point out that James has a box-plus minus of -45 this season, sparking a debate online:

"The greatest statpadder of our generation," one fan said.
"Plays no D...comes back in D once in a while...turnover machine..bought media will never address why Lakers lose and why nobody wants to join the LeBalcoDiddyCircus," a fan added.
"second half vs Nuggets was genuinely one of the worst performances of all time no exxageration, zero defense, forcing garbage shots (not making any), constantly clamped by anyone he attacked, trillion turnovers and 1240 yells for calls, pure Lebron experience," a Lakers fan chimed in.

Of course, like usually happens with this kind of thing – and especially with such a polarizing player – other fans went in his defense:

"Why are LeBron/Lakers always on Warriors fan’s mind? Genuine question, as a Lakers/die hard Kobe fan i have no hate towards the Warriors, Steph Curry is actually one of my favorite players to watch. I wasn’t running victory laps when they missed the playoffs," a Lakers fan stated.
"Anyone who looks at plus/minus stats doesn’t actually know ball lmao," another fan said.
"Why y’all act like bro isn’t the oldest player in the league lol," another fan questioned.

LeBron James knows the end of his career is near

James' numbers haven't changed much since he was in his prime, and it feels like he could play for another five years or so. Even so, he recently admitted that he's entering the sunset of his career:

“I’ve been blessed by the man above with some out-of-this-world ability from the beginning, and then I just took full advantage of it, and I wasn’t gonna disrespect what he’s given me and see how long I can, how long I can do it. But I won’t do it until the wheels fall off," James said. "I tell you that. I won’t do that, I won’t be one of those guys.”

At the end of the day, even non-James fans should give him his flowers. It's not easy to do anything at such a high level for that much time, let alone keep making history.
