Bronny James' stats support his his rise as one of the top prospects in the country. As of January 2023, according to SB Live, Bronny is averaging 14 points, a team-high 5.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.8 steals per game for Sierra Canyon, one of the most stacked high school teams.
James is showing signs of being a solid all-around contributor. His lack of aggressiveness on offense at times is among his minor weaknesses, but other areas - shooting, playmaking and defense - have been encouraging.
Bronny James has gone from being a sub-50 recruit to being ranked No. 34 in the national rankings, thanks to his all-around development. Bronny's goal is to be in the NBA, and he seems as focused as ever. His play is a testament to that. The four-star recruit has shown his versatility in tournaments like the HoopHall Classic.
He fits the bill as a modern-day NBA player. His ability to play off the ball, yet be an excellent passer when handling the rock, jump shooting and high-intensity perimeter defense could make him a coveted prospect. James has also thrived in competitive games featuring top high-school prospects, showing he is mentally prepared to take center stage.
At 6'3" and 190 pounds playing as a combo guard, he has decent size and athleticism at this stage. Bronny James also seems to have a feel for the game and a high IQ on both ends of the court. He still has another two years to develop and mold into an exceptional talent.
Considering how well he has hit his stride since the 2021 season, it wouldn't be surprising to see Bronny capitalizing on his potential to build off his current skillset and improve his game in other areas.
