Bronny James picks Anthony Edwards over Michael Jordan & Kobe Bryant for his favorite NBA players of all time

LA Lakers rookie guard Bronny James has named his five favorite players of all time. The players James named are all active NBA stars. While naming the stars, he overlooked Lakers legend Kobe Bryant and former Chicago Bulls superstar Michael Jordan.

Choosing five great players is usually difficult, as it can lead to a few players being overlooked. That happened with James as he had to think fast about his top five players. The young star was asked to rank his five favorite players on Sunday.

"LeBron one, Steph two, Kyrie three, KD four and I have Ant and Shai tied at the five," Bronny replied (via ESPN).

Lucky for James, he'll get to share the court with all the players on his list. The stars he mentioned are still in the league and aren't likely to retire. However, leaving off a few generational players like Bryant and Jordan was quite surprising for someone like the former USC star.

Fans will see the prospect play against the players he mentioned on his list, except for his father, who he'll be playing for with the Lakers.

Bronny James named his father as his favorite player of all time

As someone who grew up in the James household, Bronny James witnessed most of what LeBron James accomplished. The younger James was there to see his father carry a young Cleveland Cavaliers team to contention. He was also present when his father decided to move to Miami and join the Heat to win his first two titles.

Even when the older James was sinning MVP awards, Bronny James was there to witness it all. So, on June 24, when asked which player was his favorite, it was natural to hear him name his father.

"LeBron James," Bronny replied.

Now, Bronny will play with his father in the best league, while playing for one of the most popular sports franchises.

Bronny James ready to take on any challenge

Bronny James struggled in the Summer League due to a few disappointing performances. The 55th pick has not found his rhythm and has been criticized. However, he's ready to take on any challenge for the Lakers this season.

"I'm just looking forward to any basketball I play, no matter what level I'm playing at," Bronny James said after the Lakers' 99-80 loss against the Houston Rockets.

Bronny James struggled to make shots in the Lakers' recent Summer League game. He finished with eight points on 3-14 shooting from the field and 0-8 shooting from beyond the arc. The young prospect knows what he's going through and wants to improve.
