Bronny James Shoes: LeBron James' son unveils two pairs of his own Nike LeBron NXXT Gen PE sneakers

LA Lakers rookie guard Bronny James unveiled two exclusive pairs of his father Lakers superstar forward LeBron James' shoes during his first NBA media day.

Bronny, the No. 55 pick in this year's draft, and LeBron, entering his record-tying 22nd season, were the center of attention at Monday's media day. Media members clamored to get photos and interviews featuring the father-son duo ahead of their historic first game as teammates.

During their media availability session, Bronny debuted two unreleased Nike LeBron NXXT Gen PEs, variations of his father's shoe model originally released earlier this year. One pair featured a two-toned purple and white colorway, while the other had a navy blue and turquoise colorway.

As for LeBron, he wore unreleased Nike LeBron 3 PEs featuring a light blue and gold colorway. The four-time MVP's retro shoe model was originally released in 2005.

Nike has endorsed LeBron since 2003, the year he was drafted. That predates Bronny's lifetime, as he was born a year later in 2004.

So, the 20-time All-Star and his son will likely play together while wearing shoes from the company that has supported LeBron throughout his illustrious career.

LeBron appears to be relishing every moment of his and Bronny's experience as teammates. During media day, he highlighted his enthusiasm to begin Year 22 alongside his son.

"There’s a lot of excitement," LeBron said. "It’s pure joy, to be honest, to be able to come to work every day, put in the hard work with your son every day, and be able to see him continue to grow."

Bronny James' favorite of his father LeBron James' Nike shoe models

Bronny James has a well-documented affinity for sneakers. Ahead of June's NBA draft, he joined Complex’s "Sneaker Shopping" series, touching on how his father's success has expanded his shoe options.

"Special. All the opportunities my dad has given me. The ability to pick any shoe," Bronny said.

As for his favorite of LeBron's sneaker models, Bronny harkened back to the Nike LeBron 1s, the first of his father's shoe line, released in 2003. He noted that despite being an old model, "they’re super light and look great."

Bronny is expected to wear Nike LeBron PEs throughout his rookie campaign, with the NXXT Gens seemingly being his go-to option.

Bronny and company will begin preseason on Oct. 4 against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California. His rookie season will commence a few weeks later when the Lakers host the Timberwolves on Oct. 22.
