Bronny James shoes tonight: Lakers rookie rocks customized LeBron "NXXT Gen PE"
The Los Angeles Lakers kick off their 2024-25 season on NBA Opening Night, taking on the Minnesota Timberwolves at 10 p.m. ET. This is one of two games on the opening-night slate, along with the Boston Celtics-New York Knicks matchup.
The Lakers' matchup has plenty of storylines surrounding it, including Bronny James' NBA debut. LeBron James and Bronny James will become the first father-son duo to take an NBA court together, and Bronny is already paying homage to his father.
During shootarounds, Bronny James was spotted rocking his father's shoes, a player-edition of the LeBron NXXT Gen.
Bronny James' shoes feature his No. 9 along the side with a holographic-colored Nike swoosh. The LeBron NXXT Gen shoes were released back on June 1, with additional colorways still being released. A pair of the latest installment in LeBron James' signature shoe lineage will cost fans $160.
Bronny sported his LeBron NXXT Gen PEs for Los Angeles' media day on September 30, wearing the shoes for his team pictures.
Bronny James shows out with first pregame fit
Along with making his NBA debut, Bronny James made his tunnel debut, a popular way for players in the league to show off their sense of style. Bronny sported a casual look ahead of his debut on opening night.
Bronny rocked a black zip-up hoodie, a white shirt and black pants, along with some Chuck Taylor's to complete his look.
The Lakers selected Bronny James with the No. 55 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft to play alongside his father, LeBron James. In the Lakers' matchup versus the Minnesota Timberwolves, Bronny made his NBA debut. The father-son tandem checked in together with four minutes remaining in the first half.
Though Bronny notched just three minutes, LeBron and his son became the first father-son duo to play together in NBA history. The entire James family was in attendance as Bronny's siblings, Bryce and Zhuri, and mother, Savannah James, sat courtside as Bronny took the court for the first time in his career.
