Bronny James singles out NBA player he'd like to face in a 1v1 game

Every NBA prospect has a certain player from the league that they have thought of going up against, especially if placed in a 1-on-1 matchup, as was the case for Bronny James when he was asked during the 2024 NBA Draft Combine. Bronny went with his father, LeBron James.

The Lakers superstar is still considered one of the most elite players, despite being 39 years old. James has an excellent basketball IQ and can heat up at both ends of the basketball court.

In a video clip interview with Bleacher Report on X, Bronny James made it clear that his father is the NBA player he wants to challenge in a 1-on-1 setting.

"Who would I challenge? Good question," James said. "LeBron James. Because I haven't played him 1-on-1 in a minute."

With the number of times the two have trained and practiced together, playing against each other is nothing new for them. However, Bronny James pointed out that it's been a while since the last time he went head-to-head with his father.

Bronny James assured that his goal of making a name for himself in the NBA remains the same

Being the son of LeBron James has resulted in Bronny being under the limelight with his much-anticipated arrival in the NBA. However, he made it clear that his priority of creating a strong reputation in the league remains intact, as per CBS Sports' Kyle Boone.

"My dream has always just been to put my name out," James said. "Make a name for myself, and of course, you know, get to the NBA, which is everyone's end goal that is here. And, you know, I never thought about just playing with my dad, but of course he's brought it up a couple times."

Despite his father's wish to play alongside his son, Bronny James is still focused on establishing who he is as a player and the kind of athlete he will be known for in the professional basketball league.
