“Bronny has all the tools around him”: Jaylen Brown backtracks on LeBron James' son after his alleged comments to Kysre Gondrezick go viral
When Jaylen Brown arrived for the LA Lakers vs Boston Celtics Summer League game on Monday in Las Vegas alongside Kysre Gondrezick and Angel Reese, he must have expected a relaxing time. However, when cameras caught him allegedly telling Gondrezick, “I don’t think Bronny is a pro,” the clip went viral.
Brown, however, came up with a post on X in the early hours of Tuesday to clear the air. He wrote:
“It’s a flex to have your son alongside you in the nba it reflects greatness and longevity !Bronny has all the tools around him to be successful, I look forward to watching his growth.”
While it’s anyone’s guess if what most fans lip read was correct, Jaylen Brown showing confidence in LeBron James’ son should squash the discussions for now.
Brown has been hanging out with Gondrezick for sometime now. She even accompanied the Celtics star to the championship parade and the ESPY Awards, where Brown was crowned the Best Championship Performance award. He described Gondrezick as “my date” during the ESPYs.
Kysre Gondrezick is a basketball player for the Chicago Sky. She has featured in five games so far this season. Before this, she spent one season with the Indiana Fever in 2021.
Jaylen Brown spoke about not making Team USA for the 2024 Olympics
After news broke that Kawhi Leonard wouldn’t make the trip to Paris for the 2024 Olympics because of a knee issue, many assumed that Jaylen Brown would be one of the contenders to replace the LA Clippers star. However, fellow Boston teammate Derrick White was called up to fill in the final spot in the roster.
Brown was asked about not making the team on Monday in Vegas. He replied:
“I wasn’t surprised, but my reaction was that I was happy for D White. It’s dope to have so much of our guys on there, so I was happy for those guys. But I wasn’t surprised.”
While Brown might not accept it publicly, it would be normal to be upset to not make the squad, especially after being awarded the Finals MVP in the Celtics’ 4-1 win against the Dallas Mavericks. He was also the Eastern Conference finals MVP.
