Bucks center’s wife uses hilarious Savannah James meme to express joy at forthcoming Christmas holidays
Savannah James's husband LeBron James has given uncountable memes to NBA fans for more than 20 years. Now, the wife of the LA Lakers star has also become part of the meme world, and not for any wrong reason.
Savannah James does not go wrong when it comes to fashion. Earlier this year, she attended an NBA playoff game (Celtics vs Cavs on May 13) with her husband where she wore a fuzzy hat. One of the pictures that was widely circulated on social media was her looking pointedly with a smile on her face.
Brook Lopez's wife Hailee Lopez reposted a post from "@girlswho_getit" on her Instagram story that had the same picture of Savannah. The caption of the post said,
"Me thinking about the Christmas holidays at 11:59pm, OCT 31st. 👀👻."
Reposting the post on her IG story, Hailee captioned the post with four exclamation marks.
Reportedly, Hailee and Brook Lopez met in August 2009 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. They were together for 13 years before the Milwaukee Bucks center proposed at the same place 13 years later. Hailee and Lopez married that same month in California.
Savannah James reacts to son Bronny James' first NBA point
The Cleveland Cavaliers fans showed class in the game between LA Lakers and the Cavaliers. The fans in the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse gave Bronny a LeBron James-kind of welcome to their native young player.
With just under six minutes remaining in the game, the fans in the arena started demanding Bronny on the floor. With a 20-point deficit against the Cavs, Lakers coach JJ Redick put Bronny James on the court. The crowd cheered when Bronny had the ball, encouraging him to score against their own team.
Finally, with just over two minutes remaining in the game, Bronny answered the crowd with a jumper, scoring his first NBA points. While his father LeBron James kept his emotions under control, Bronny's mother Savannah James didn't hold her emotions.
She posted the video of her son scoring his first point on her Instagram handle. Posting the video, she captioned the post with a series of smiling faces with heart emojis.
After the game, LeBron James also opened up about his emotions watching his son score his first NBA points in the Cavs' arena. The Lakers star also said that watching his son score his first point in the same arena which was once his home and where Bronny grew up, felt very special.
"To see him get his first NBA basket in this arena, where he grew up not too far from here - it's an unbelievable moment," LeBron said.
While it was a special day for Bronny James, the same couldn't be said about the Lakers. They dropped their second consecutive game as they lost 134-110.
