"But can't suit up for a playoff game": NBA fans erupt in laughter as Paul George, James Harden and Jimmy Butler plan to star in charity game

NBA fans had jokes for Paul George, James Harden and Jimmy Butler, who plan to suit up in the Hong Kong Charity Game organized by NBA Hall of Famer, Yao Ming. The game is part of Yao Ming's foundation that works with the youth in China.

NBA fans joked about the players suiting up for an offseason charity game but have missed time in the NBA playoffs over the last three seasons.

"But some of these stars can't suit up for a playoff game 😂😂😂," one fan joked.
"Butler should stay there for the whole NBA season lmfao," another fan commented.

A couple of fans joked that the game might be a foreshadowing of things to come for at least one of those three players.

"Preview of the 2027 Hong Kong All-Star game 💔💔," a fan said.
"By next season that will be home," another fan added.

Some fans praised Yao Ming for having three NBA superstars playing in his charity game.

"Damn, Yao Ming has pull like that 😳," a fan commented, surprised at the news.
"Yao knows what he's doing. Get him an NBA job now," another fan added.

Washington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma is expected to join Paul George, Jimmy Butler and James Harden in the charity game, potentially adding another star to this stacked game.

Paul George preparing for first season with the Philadelphia 76ers

Following the charity game, Paul George will prepare for his first season with the Philadelphia 76ers, with training camp set to start in October.

"I think training camps in general are really important to start a season out because you want to get on the same page, you want to jell," Paul George stated, reinforcing the importance of training camp in his first season in Philly.

Paul George will join Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey to form one of the best cores in the Eastern Conference, looking to compete with the likes of the reigning NBA champion Boston Celtics.

With the increase in talent in the east this offseason, adding PG capitalizes on the Sixers' championship window with Embiid and Maxey. Last season, George averaged 22.6 points, 3.5 assists and 5.2 rebounds per game, shooting a career-high 41.3 percent from beyond the arc.

Entering this season at 30 years old, time is ticking for Joel Embiid and an injury-riddled Sixers team.
