Caitlin Clark offers words of wisdom to former teammate Hannah Stuelke following her latest photoshoot
Caitlin Clark offered words of wisdom to former Hawkeyes teammate Hannah Stuelke following Iowa's Media Day. Clark and Stuelke played together for two seasons.
In a post on her official Instagram account, Stuelke shared several images from the Media Day photoshoot ahead of her third season.
"Blessed with another year🤩 let’s get it," Stuelke wrote in the captions.
Clark, who was named the WNBA Rookie of the Year, indulged in light banter with her former teammate.
"Less photoshoots. More work💯 ya got me?" Clark wrote.
Clark played four seasons in Iowa. She led the program to back-to-back NCAA championship games, in 2023 against LSU and in 2024 against South Carolina. She left as one of the greatest players, not just in Hawkeyes history, but in NCAA history.
Meanwhile, Stuelke is coming off a season in which she started 32 out of the 35 games she played. She averaged 14.0 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists.
Caitlin Clark shows up to support boyfriend Connor McCaffery
In addition to Hannah Stuelke, Caitlin Clark also showed support to her boyfriend Connor McCaffery. Clark remained in Indianapolis following the Indiana Fever's elimination from the 2024 WNBA playoffs. She was at Hinkle Fieldhouse to watch Butler's open practice.
McCaffery, who worked as a team assistant for the Indiana Pacers last season, was hired as an assistant coach by the Bulldogs. He will remain in Indianapolis and likely be even busier considering the 2023-24 NCAA basketball season starts in early November.
Clark and McCaffery have reportedly been dating since April 2023 when they were both playing for Iowa. McCaffery is the son of Iowa men's longtime basketball team coach, Fran McCaffery. At Butler, Connor will be coaching his brothers Patrick and Jonathan this upcoming season.
What are Caitlin Clark's plans for the offseason?
Speaking to reporters following Game 2 of their first-round series against the Connecticut Sun, Caitlin Clark was asked about her offseason plans. Clark won't be leaving Indianapolis anytime soon and is planning to take some time off, and possibly play some golf.
"Maybe play some golf. That's what I'm gonna do until it becomes too cold in Indiana. So I got that. I'll become a professional golfer," Clark said. [H/T New York Post]
Despite their early exit in the 2024 WNBA playoffs, Clark had a successful rookie season that exceeded expectations. She won Rookie of the Year, while also breaking a handful of records including the single-season total assist record (337) and single-game total assist record (19).
