Tyrese Haliburton, Jade Jones and Caitlin Clark went to school in the state of Iowa

Tyrese Haliburton, Jade Jones and Caitlin Clark have one thing in common – they all went to school in the state of Iowa. Jones and Clark were both born and raised in Iowa, while Haliburton is from Wisconsin. Haliburton and Jones met as students at Iowa State University, while Clark went to the University of Iowa.

The two schools are rivals, but Clark and Haliburton put that to the side after the Hawkeyes superstar was selected first by the Indiana Fever in the 2024 WNBA draft. They are now two of the biggest basketball stars in the state, representing the Fever and the Pacers, respectively.

Apart from the trio, Clark's boyfriend Connor McCaffery also went to the University of Iowa. McCaffery worked with Haliburton as a Pacers team assistant last season before signing with Butler University as an assistant coach.

Tyrese Haliburton joins Puma ahead of the 2024-25 season

At the Indiana Pacers' media day earlier this month, Tyrese Haliburton went viral for wearing loafers instead of basketball shoes. He also reversed his socks to hide the Nike logo, meaning that he was a free agent in the shoe game.

Fast forward to a few days during the preseason, the Pacers superstar announced signing a contract with Puma.

"I'm super excited to announce that I've joined the PUMA Family," Haliburton said in a press release, according to Bleacher Report.
"I look forward to being a part of their commitment to the next generation of basketball. PUMA's vision and dedication to supporting athletes align perfectly with my goals, and I'm excited to represent the brand on and off the court."

Haliburton joins other basketball stars in Puma like LaMelo Ball, Breanna Stewart, Scoot Henderson, R.J. Barrett, Michael Porter Jr., Marcus Smart and Flau'jae Johnson.
