Camila Cabello's 'dirty' basketball quip leaves Jimmy Butler in stitches: "Wow mama that's what y'all talk about"
Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler and Camila Cabello have been enjoying each other’s company in the offseason. Linking up for a fun game of HORSE, Butler and Cabello were featured in a video shot by Complex.
The video started when Cabello talked about her knowledge of basketball and her singing career. The game then quickly escalated when the singer shared that her father was a former high school basketball player.
When asked about what position he played, Cabello asked her mother about it, before proceeding to say an NSFW quip.
“Mama, what position did he play? And don’t you answer that in a dirty way,” Cabello said.
Butler, who was all smiles throughout the scene, had a response that left him in stitches.
“Mama, wow, mama, that’s what you all talk about, wow,” Butler said while Cabello laughed in the background.
Cabello’s mother said that she did not know, but remembered that he was a scorer in high school.
Jimmy Butler ended up winning the game after making just H and O despite shooting most of his attempts with his left hand. Camila Cabello got all HORSE to lose the match before getting punished with 100 push-ups.
Camila Cabello called Jimmy Butler ‘cocky’
Camila Cabello asked Jimmy Butler to shoot through his left hand only in an attempt to even out the game. Butler willingly obliged, trusting his off-hand shooting.
The handicap did not make a difference, prompting Cabello to drop the F-bomb on Butler and call him cocky.
"Mr. F***ing cocky over here," Cabello said.
The tease got Butler to respond with a self-affirming statement.
"There's a difference between being cocky and confident, and I'm very, very, very confident in all the things that I do," Butler said.
Jimmy Butler supports Camila Cabello's latest album
Jimmy Butler and Camila Cabello have each other’s back as their friendship has entertained fans from both the sports and music world.
Last March in a home game against the Detroit Pistons, Butler wore a pregame jersey that had Camila’s album title “I Luv It” behind it to support his friend who was then making a comeback in music.
The jersey was a personal gift by Cabello as they shared a hug before the game. Butler dropped a game-high 26 points in the victory as his friend watched on the sidelines.
It was Cabello’s first music release in two years, and Butler made sure to support one of his closest friends.
Butler averaged 20.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.0 assists in the 2023-2024 season, but the Heat bowed out in the first round of the playoffs against the eventual NBA champion Boston Celtics. Butler did not play in the entire series versus the Celtics as he sprained his MCL in the play-in tournament.
