Carmelo Anthony plays doting dad as he introduces son to Travis Scott at Victor Wembanyama’s first Olympics semifinal

Carmelo Anthony is well regarded in Olympic basketball history due to numerous iconic performances, from going 10-of-12 from 3-point range in 2012 to bringing home three gold medals with Team USA. At the Paris vs. Germany matchup, Anthony introduced his son to rapper Travis Scott during Victor Wembanyama's first semifinal game for France.

This isn't the first time that the "Antidote" artist has been seen interacting with NBA players. He also showed up in Game 2 of the NBA Finals courtside while donning a pair of unreleased Air Jordan Jumpman Jack sneakers in a green colorway.

The image of Knicks legend Carmelo Anthony with Kiyan and Travis Scott was shared by BasketNews.com's Donatas Urbonas on X, formerly known as Twitter. The father-and-son tandem was also spotted in the France vs. Canada game last Tuesday.

The Olympic men's basketball competition has lived up to the excitement, especially in this matchup involving Victor Wembanyama and the Dennis Schroder-led Germany squad.

Carmelo Anthony's son talked about the pressure of living up to his father's mantle

Whenever a prominent NBA player's son follows in his father's footsteps, comparisons will be made. The media is doing it with their coverage of Bronny James, and he has not even played on an NBA court yet.

The same can be said for Carmelo Anthony's son Kiyan, who has showcased promising talent at the offensive end. He can get to the cup and hit perimeter jump shots at will, making him a quality three-level scorer on the court.

The similarities are there between the two, but Kiyan Anthony pointed out the immense pressure on his end, as per MaxPreps.com's Jordan Divens.

"Definitely a lot of pressure," Anthony said, "you know there is automatically going to be a lot more eyes on you just because your name and who you are so if you live up to it then you do, but if you don't people are going to criticize you in whatever you do. If you score 20 they want you to score 30 ... so you just have to stop listening to them at that point ..."

Carmelo Anthony played one year at Syracuse, averaging 22.2 points (45.3 percent shooting, including 33.7 percent from 3-point range). It was regarded as one of the best one-year outings at the collegiate level, setting up for one of the most prominent scoring careers in NBA history.

During this year's Peach Jam, the young Anthony went viral for dropping an electric 40-point performance (15-of-19 shooting, including 5-of-6 from beyond the arc). Aside from the huge scoring output, the efficiency easily stood out from his stat line, as not many young athletes are capable of that kind of production.

Kiyan still has a long journey ahead of him, but from what he has shown so far, he is off to a good start in managing expectations and what he can control on the court.
