Carmelo Anthony's ex Mia Burks shares heartwarming video of their daughter Genesis Harlo hitting swishes at range
It would be fair to say that Carmelo Anthony has basketball in his genes. His son Kiyan Anthony, whom he had with his former wife La La Anthony, is already making a name for himself in the basketball world. Now, his only daughter, Genesis Harlo, is showing some skills in hooping too.
In a video uploaded by Anthony's baby mama Mia Burks, Harlo Anthony was seen putting a basketball in a basket at a pumpkin patch. From the video, it appeared that she was taking it more seriously than the other kids at the farm.
One after another, Harlo kept sinking the basketball in the basket with a pumpkin-designed backboard. Unlike her dad, Harlo is a southpaw.
In her next story on her IG handle, Burks posted a picture of the poster on the wall. It was in support of Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate in the upcoming presidential election.
Burks continues to be the best mother to Harlo, especially in light of the drama surrounding Melo's daughter. However, even Melo has not been entirely absent from his daughter's life since her birth. He has made sure that she knows that she has a father and a mother.
Carmelo Anthony had his daughter when he was still married to his former wife La La Anthony. Harlo was born in 2017 and celebrated her 7th birthday earlier this year. It was four years after the birth of his daughter with Burks that Melo and La La divorced each other on the grounds of irreconcilable differences.

Carmelo Anthony has not publicly appeared with his daughter Genesis Harlo. However, he continues to have his presence in her life as she grows up. When Harlo celebrated her 7th birthday in August earlier this year, it was all Knicks-Melo-themed.
In a series of pictures and videos that Burks posted on her Instagram handle, Harlo was dressed as her father, in his New York Knicks #7 jersey. In the Knicks basketball-themed birthday bash, in one of the pictures, she stood in front of the board that said "Genesis Square Garden."
In another one of the pictures, she was also seen dunking the basketball. Although Melo was not present in any of the pics that she posted (as per SI.com), in one of the posts that she made on her IG story, Melo was there.
Posting the pictures on her IG, Burk penned an emotional note for her daughter.
"[8117] a love supreme. *today is all about YOU. 🎂," Burks wrote in the caption.
When Carmelo Anthony posted a retirement video, it was the first time he acknowledged his daughter to the world. Apart from his son Kiyan, Harlo was also in the video.
