Carmelo Anthony's co-parent Mia Burks celebrates her new fun-filled new children's book inspired by her daughter
Carmelo Anthony is the co-parent of a daughter with Mia Burks. Not long after the child's seventh birthday, Burks wrote a children's book inspired by Genesis Harlow.
"Tall Like Me" is a children's activity book centered around height. It was written by Burks, who has one child with the future Hall of Famer. As the book gets ready to hit the shelves, she's made multiple posts on her Instagram story to help promote it.
Carmelo Anthony and Burks gave birth to Genesis Harlow in August 2017. At the time, the former Denver Nuggets forward was still married to La La Anthony. They ended up officially filing for divorce in 2021.
Genesis is the youngest of Anthony's two kids. His oldest, Kiyan Anthony, is one of the nation's top high school recruits and has received offers from multiple schools. The son of the former NBA star is expected to make a final decision in the coming months.
Aside from sharing a child with Anthony, not much is known about Burks. She does have a large social media following, racking up over 81,000 followers on Instagram.
Carmelo Anthony's co-parent Mia Burks throws Knicks-themed party for Genesis Harlow
Earlier this summer, Mia Burks threw a massive birthday party for Genesis Harlow. It had numerous ties to Carmelo Anthony, as the New York Knicks were a major theme.
Genesis wore a Knicks jersey with that number for her seventh birthday. It is the same jersey number that Anthony wore during his time with the team (2011-17). He previously wore No. 15 with the Denver Nuggets before switching to his Olympic number upon landing in New York.
Burks posted a series of photos from the party, including one of Genesis with a backdrop that reads "Genesis Square Garden."
Carmelo Anthony is one of the rare NBA stars to have been a featured player for his hometown team. He was traded to the Knicks midway through the 2011 season and spent seven years with the team. Anthony helped the Knicks to the playoffs, had many All-Star appearances, and won the scoring title in 2013.
Even though she was born after his time in New York was done, Genesis still got a chance to pay homage to her father's impressive NBA career.
