This list also gives an early picture of how projections for the 2026 NBA draft could unfold. With most of these players likely ending up as a one-and-done wherever they go, they'll be in the pool of prospects.

According to 247 Sports, Kiyan is a four-star recruit heading into his senior year at Long Island Lutheran. While he's in the 30s on ESPN's rankings, he is the seventh-best shooting guard in his class and the top prospect in the state of New York.

Kiyan has received offers from a handful of Division I programs but has yet to make a final decision.

Carmelo Anthony's son Kiyan makes loyal 2025 NBA champion pick

During an interview posted on Thursday by Big Knick Energy on X, Carmelo Anthony's son Kiyan was asked to predict who will win the 2025 NBA title. He picked a team that he has close connections to — the New York Knicks.

Being from New York, Kiyan has hometown ties to the Knicks. He also has family ties as his father spent a good portion of his career with the franchise.

After beginning his NBA journey with the Denver Nuggets, Carmelo Anthony had his sights set on a change of scenery in 2011. He ended up getting what he wanted as he was dealt to his hometown team in a blockbuster trade.

Carmelo would go on to spend seven seasons with the Knicks and was named an All-Star each year. His best campaign was in 2013 when he won the scoring title and finished third in MVP voting. His run with the team came to an end in 2018 when the Knicks traded him to the OKC Thunder.

Minor bias aside, Kiyan Anthony made a solid pick. The Knicks are arguably one of the deepest teams in the league and added Mikal Bridges to their roster this offseason. Led by a superstar talent in Jalen Brunson, New York is in a position to contend in the Eastern Conference.
