Chuck D touts Simone Biles as better athlete than NBA players at Paris 2024: "She is a living video matrix"

This summer, countless NBA players are competing in the 2024 Olympics. While many have credited them for their elite athleticism, one artist pushed back to give another Olympian proper credit.

Earlier this week, Simone Biles added another gold medal to her growing collection. Following her latest victory, one rapper shined a light on her abilities.

While talking about the Olympics on X (formerly Twitter), Chuck D shared his thoughts on the people competing. He doesn't feel NBA players aren't the best athletes, siding with Biles in this regard. Chuck D also touched on how blown away he's been by what she's done in gymnastics:

"Everybody saying Basketball players are the greatest athletes definitely ain’t watching the Olympics. I can’t understand what Simone Biles is doing… she is a living video matrix…"

So far in the 2024 Olympics, Biles has helped Team USA win gold in Women's Artistic Team All-Around gymnastics. This marked the fifth time she has won gold in her Olympics career dating back to 2016. When including the World and Pacific Rim championships, Biles has secured over 30 gold medals.

As for the Team USA men's basketball team, it looks like it is on its way to winning gold as well. It currently sits at 2-0 in the Group Phase round after a pair of blowout victories.

Multiple NBA stars praise Simone Biles ahead of 2024 Olympics

Chuck D is not the only person who has praised Simone Biles ahead of the 2024 Olympics. Countless NBA stars said they couldn't wait to see her in action before the Paris games.

This summer, Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo is competing in the Olympics for the second time in his career. Aside from winning gold, getting a picture with Biles was one of his top goals. The All-Star big man also praised the gymnast for all that she's been able to accomplish in her career.

"To be that good -- well, excuse me, to be that great -- and she still keeps breaking barriers," Adebayo said. "To be able to see that just one time and hopefully get a picture with her, it'd mean a lot because she's done a lot for not only the faces of us but for her sport as a whole."

Another NBA star to speak on Biles was Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker. He is happy that he'll get to see her in action this time around after not being able to go to other events last Olympics due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"That's another thing I missed last go-round," Booker said. "I wasn't able to watch any other events or see any other countries or anything. I'll be there in full support if I have the time and the schedule matches up."
