"Cleveland is fugazi" - Former Bucks guard gets iffy on Nick Young's Cleveland Cavaliers over Warriors claim
The Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers were the subjects of an argument between former Milwaukee Bucks guard Brandon Jennings and former NBA player Nick Young on Tuesday. Even with the Cavs' 12-0 start to the season, Jennings doesn't believe the team could finish as a top-three team in the East.
On Tuesday's episode of "Gil's Arena," the topic of Steph Curry's longevity was raised, sparking the conversation. The conversation veered toward the Warriors' chances of taking home the championship. Kenyon Martin and Gilbert Arenas, two former NBA players, discussed the likelihood that Golden State would win the title this year.
However, Young was the only person in the room who thought the Warriors wouldn't be able to win the title this year. The 12-year former player mentioned the Cavaliers as a threat to the Western team winning the championship. Given Cleveland's strong start to the season, he believes they could be a threat in the league.
Following that, Jennings called him out for his take.
"That s**t [Cleveland] is fugazi," Jennings said, using a slang for 'fake'. "So Cleveland gonna finish top three in the East, when it's all said and done?"
The former Warriors champion stood by what he said and challenged his co-host by putting a wager on his take.
"I bet they finish higher than the Warriors," Young responded. "I'll put any money on it, right now."
This season, the Cavs have remained undefeated after playing 12 games, putting them at the top of the Eastern Conference standings. In contrast, the Warriors have an 8-2 record, tying them for second place with the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference.

The Cleveland Cavaliers made history after their 12th straight win
On Monday, the Cleveland Cavaliers earned their 12th consecutive win against the Chicago Bulls, 119-113, maintaining their perfect record. Following their win, the Cavs became the eighth team in league history to start the season with 12 straight wins.
Two of the seven teams with a 12-0 start won the championship, according to NBA.com. Hakeem Olajuwon's Houston Rockets won the championship in 1993–94 after winning 15 games in a row to begin the season. The Chicago Bulls won the championship in 1996–1997 after winning 12 straight games.
The most recent team to remain undefeated after 12 games was the 2015-16 Golden State Warriors. During that season, the Warriors went on to win 73 games, setting the record for most wins in a regular season. But they were defeated by the LeBron James-led Cavaliers in the NBA Finals.
