Dallas Mavericks forward P.J. Washington is using the remainder of his offseason to spend time with his family ahead of his second season in Dallas. In an Instagram story on Tuesday afternoon, Washington made a heartwarming post celebrating his wife, Alisah Chanel.

P.J. Washington has been married to his wife since 2023. Chanel took to Instagram to celebrate their engagement back in 2022. The couple welcomed their first child, Preston, the same year and are co-parents to Chanel's son, Aiden, and Washington's son, Paul Jermaine Washington III.

Washington was selected with the No. 12 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and will play in his sixth NBA season in 2024-25. The forward was traded from the Charlotte Hornets to the Dallas Mavericks and was a crucial piece in their Finals run last season.

In 29 games for the Mavericks last season, Washington averaged 11.7 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.

P.J. Washington shows confidence in Dallas Mavericks' additions

In an interview with DLLS Sports, P.J. Washington showed immense confidence in the Dallas Mavericks ahead of the new season with a bold prediction for his team.

In the interview, Washington discussed Dallas' new additions of Klay Thompson, Quentin Grimes and Naji Marshall.

"[Klay Thompson, Naji Marshall and Quentin Grimes] are all going to be great. I'm excited for [the fans] to see. They can pretty much do everything and they're going to help us in every single way."

The Mavericks are looking to reload for another NBA Finals run in 2024-25 after a heartbreaking 4-1 loss to the Boston Celtics last season.

Dallas enters the new season with the sixth-best title odds in the NBA, behind the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves and Oklahoma City Thunder.
