The first quarter between the Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics was a seesaw battle until the final two minutes. Boston uncorked a telling 9-0 blast to end up with a 28-18 advantage after the first 12 minutes ended. The Celtics' balanced attack was the biggest reason they had the Mavs trailing early.

The second quarter followed more of the same script from the first period, which gave the Celtics a leg up. Payton Pritchard's halfcourt heave over Luka Doncic gave Boston a 67-46 advantage.

The third quarter was a defensive struggle the Boston Celtics were all too willing to draw the Dallas Mavericks into. Doncic and his teammates looked like they were finishing the quarter strong before Boston responded with a 5-0 run. The hosts carried an 86-67 lead heading into the final frame.

The fourth quarter saw the Dallas Mavericks desperately trying to cut the significant lead. Kyrie Irving just couldn't get himself going tonight while Luka Doncic also fizzed in the said period. Jason Kidd finally had enough and surrendered with roughly three minutes remaining in the game.

The Boston Celtics marched to the finish line before completing a 106-88 victory. Boston broke a tie with the LA Lakers with their 18th championship with Jaylen Brown winning NBA Finals MVP.

Kyrie Irving, Luka Doncic, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown's 3-pointers tonight
