Dalton Knecht Stats Tonight: Rookie's career night propels Lakers to comeback win over Ja Morant-less Memphis Grizzlies

Dalton Knecht had a career-best performance during the LA Lakers' 128-123 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Knecht put on a 3-point shooting clinic, further showcasing why his long-range accuracy is so highly regarded in the basketball world.

Dalton Knecht recorded a career-high 19 points on 7-of-8 shooting, including 5-of-5 from 3-point range in 31:08 minutes. The young forward also grabbed two rebounds, dished out three assists and recorded one steal, while finishing with a plus/minus of +17.

Lakers rookie Dalton Knecht made a strong impression off the bench, contributing solidly in just under six minutes of play in the first quarter. The former Tennessee standout recorded two rebounds and one assist before sinking his first shot, a 3-pointer from the top of the key.

Knecht began the second quarter on the bench but continued his impressive shooting after subbing in for Gabe Vincent. The rookie forward sank his second 3-pointer and followed it up with a smooth mid-range jumper from the baseline.

In just under 13 minutes of first-half play, Knecht tallied eight points, two rebounds, one assist and one turnover. The rookie displayed perfect shooting, going 3-for-3 from the field, including 2-for-2 from 3-point range.

Knecht kept his momentum going in the second half and when coach Redick brought him back into the game, the rookie delivered a valuable scoring boost for the Lakers.

After a perfect first half, Knecht made three more shots in the third quarter before being blocked on a dunk attempt by Jay Huff just before the buzzer. In the third quarter alone, Knecht added eight points, shooting 3-for-4 from the floor, including a flawless 2-for-2 from 3-point range.

The former Northern Colorado standout kept his hot shooting alive, hitting the Lakers' first shot of the final period with a 3-pointer. Shortly after, the rookie threw a perfect alley-oop assist to Christian Koloko, who finished with a powerful dunk, sending the crowd inside Crypto.com Arena into a frenzy.
