Damian Lillard drops 1-word reaction to marvel at Michael Jordan's unparalleled feat in NBA

Like most NBA stars, Damian Lillard has praised the players who paved the way for him and so many others. Recently, he took to social media to react to a rare feat by one of the league's all-time great talents.

At his peak, Michael Jordan had a vice grip on the NBA en route to winning six championships. While most people talk about his endless highlights on the offensive end, the Chicago Bulls legend was also a high-level talent on defense.

On Sunday, Damian Lillard re-posted a photo of one of MJ's most impressive accomplishments on Instagram. "His Airness" is the only player in history to win MVP, make an All-Defense team, win a championship and get Finals MVP all in the same season. What's most impressive is that Jordan pulled this off on four separate occasions.

As for Lillard, he has been a key factor in the Milwaukee Bucks turning their season around after a rocky start. Following their victory over the Atlanta Hawks Saturday, they've punched their ticket for the finals of the NBA Cup. On Tuesday night, they're slated to take on the OKC Thunder in the championship.

In his second season with the Bucks, Lillard continues to be one of the NBA's top guards from a production standpoint. This season, the eight-time All-Star is averaging 25.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 7.5 assists.

Damian Lillard has always been a big fan of Michael Jordan

Damian Lillard's latest Instagram post is far from the first time he has praised Michael Jordan. The Milwaukee Bucks star has always held MJ in the highest regard.

When it comes to debates within the basketball community, the GOAT discourse is the most notable. Fans and analysts are constantly arguing for and against the cases of Jordan and LeBron James.

Back in the summer of 2022, Damian Lillard was asked the question of who is the NBA's GOAT. He went with Jordan for a variety of reasons.

"My NBA GOAT is Michael Jordan," Lillard said. "It's just different when you talk about MJ. On the floor, there's just never been nobody like him. Nobody electrifies the crowd like him. The Air Jordan shoe, rocking the cradle, walking in the air, it's Jordan."
"I don't think it's too much of a debate."

Despite having the opportunity to go up against LeBron up close, he still sides with MJ in the GOAT debate. Based on how strongly he feels about the topic, it doesn't seem like his opinion will be changing anytime soon.

Aside from the feat Lillard re-posted on Instagram, Jordan has a laundry list of accomplishments. Among his accolades include being a 14-time All-Star, six-time champion, six-time Finals MVP, five-time MVP and 10-time scoring champion.
