Damian and Kay'La Lillard filed for divorce last October, with Kay'La wanting sole custody of their kids. She's spent time having fun with them, even sharing pictures of the kids wearing "Sonic the Hedgehog" and "Paw Patrol" costumes.

Damian and Kay'La Lillard tied the knot in 2021 but divorced two years later. Damian filed for divorce in Clackamas County Circuit Court in Oregon City, Oregon, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason.

The Milwaukee Bucks star has always had a deep bond with his kids and hasn't been shy about the motivation he gets from taking care of and inspiring his children both on and off the court.

Damian Lillard explains how he motivates himself by being a dad

In October, Damian Lillard explained how he got motivated by being a dad and tried to inspire his kids by setting a good example.

"I get a lot of motivation from being a dad," Lillard said, via SLAM. "There are mornings where I gotta workout at 6:30 and I'll get my kids up and bring them in here ... They'll sit over there while I work out because I want them to be able to see, like, this didn't come out of nowhere.
And the motivation comes in where, if I'm being criticized, or if I'm struggling, or if something makes me uncomfortable, I think about my kids when I'm having to respond to those types of situations ... Whatever the situation is, I'll be the example for my kids and my nieces and nephews. I get a lot of motivation from the opportunities to show [how you represent yourself] even when it's a tough or a bad situation."

His relationship with his kids has always been close, and Lillard struggled to cope with his divorce during his first season in Milwaukee. Now, he's trying to compete for a title with the Bucks.
