"Darvin Ham is my OG" - Draymond Green piles on Anthony Davis for throwing 'fellow black man' under the bus

There's quite a bit of drama with the LA Lakers after Anthony Davis criticized the coaching staff after their loss in Game 2. While head coach Darvin Ham "agreed to disagree" with the statement, it didn't sit well with Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green. The forward shared a clip from his podcast about why he didn't like Davis' statement.

Davis and the Lakers did their best last night in Game 3 against the Denver Nuggets in their first-round, best-of-seven series. He had 33 points and 15 rebounds, but that wasn't enough to stop the defending champions.

But before all of that, Davis addressed their struggles from both ends of the floor. The big man mentioned that there are stretches during games when they have no clue what they're doing on both ends. Ham, although he disagreed with what AD said, downplayed the situation.

But Green thought it was disrespectful of Davis to throw his coach under the bus after their tough loss.

"I was very disappointed in AD's statement after the game," Green said on The Draymond Green Show. "When AD came out of Game 2 and said, 'Sometimes we don't know what we're doing on the defensive side of the ball or the offensive side of the ball.'
"I got a lot of love and respect for AD... I was just a little disappointed in that statement. Number one, Darvin Ham was a player, is a black man. And to thorw him under the bus just like that, I didn't like it... I could be a bit biased because Darvin Ham is my OG."

In Game 3, there were plays from the Nuggets where they failed to cover the other players. This allowed Aaron Gordon to have a big game against the Lakers as he had 29 points and 15 rebounds.

Lakers organization upset with Anthony Davis' comments about Ham

As Green expressed his disappointment with his fellow NBA star, there are rumors that the Lakers organization wasn't fond of it either. Anthony Davis' comments about Ham have now reached the higher-ups of the team. According to Jared Greenberg, some people didn't like what Davis said.

"I can tell you, from speaking with people within the Lakers’ organization, they were upset and disappointed, quite frankly, by AD’s comments," Greenberg said.

In Game 2, the Lakers had a 20-point lead in the first half. However, it all crumbled down during the second half. Davis didn't play a significant role offensively as he only had one shot attempt in the fourth quarter.

Now 0-3, the Lakers are on the verge of getting eliminated.
