Earlier in the IG story, Murray shared an image of him alongside the group after their workout in Las Vegas with an inspirational message:

Dejounte Murray rose to prominence with the San Antonio Spurs, where he went on to play in NBA 320 games. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard was selected to the All-Star team in 2022 and was named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 2018.

A move to the Atlanta Hawks in 2022 did not work out as planned and the organization decided to trade Murrary to the New Orleans Pelicans this summer for Dyson Daniels, E.J. Lidell, Larry Nance Jr., Cody Zeller, a 2025 first-round pick and a conditional 2027 first-round pick.

Murray reacted to the news of the trade with a post on his X account stating:

"NOLA. #504"

The trade will see Murray join an exciting and dynamic offense in Louisiana that includes Zion Williamson, CJ McCollum and Brandon Ingram.
