The newly minted Sacramento Kings forward started with one tweet and posted a couple more, with the third post focusing on gratitude. His tweets come in the aftermath of showing up at the Drew League, where he was the player of the game with 45 points, eight rebounds and four assists.

DeMar DeRozan opens up about his mental health podcast, 'Dinners with DeMar'
Last year, DeMar DeRozan introduced the world to his YouTube interview series 'Dinners with DeMar,' which puts the spotlight on the mental health struggles athletes face.
In an interview with GQ, he shed light on why the podcast is so important for athletes playing in real time:
"I didn’t want it to seem like a podcast where you just do a Q&A. I really wanted to do something that we always do but people don’t get to see.
"These are people where, when we’re in the same city playing against each other, that’s what we’re gonna do regardless. We’re gonna go eat and have conversations about stuff that people don’t get to see or hear.”
The pilot episode of the series featured Golden State Warriors veteran forward and four-time NBA champion Draymond Green. Damian Lillard and Dwyane Wade appeared in the next couple of episodes — all of which received rich reviews from the audience.
On the season front, DeMar DeRozan will suit up for the Kings after inking a three-year, $76 million deal. Sacramento will have a proven bucket in the six-time NBA All-Star, who heads into the upcoming season averaging 23.5 points per game since the start of the 2013-14 campaign.
